Recommended Calorie Intake 

Typically, the variety of delicacies served during Hari Raya Aidilfitri includes ‘lemang’, ‘ketupat’, ‘rendang’, ‘lontong’ an assortment of ‘kuih-muih’.

The calorie intake recommendations by the Malaysian Dietary Guidelines 2010 for adults (aged 18-59 years) who are sedentary are:

a) Male : 2000 kcal / day

b) Female: 1500 kcal / day

 

Examples of calorie intake for one meal/day for sedentary adults are as follows:
