Failure to test could cause a delay in therapy decisions and may potentially lead to a serious medical condition. Therefore it is strongly recommended to:
- Have a spare set of batteries, because battery life may vary due to factors such as temperature and battery manufacturer.
- Have a back-up testing method available. An example of a back-up testing method would be a back-up meter and strips. Ask your healthcare professional or pharmacist about other possible back-up methods.

A ‘Drop Too Small’ (E4) error message will display on the meter, indicating not enough blood was drawn into the test strip for measurement or blood was applied after the test had started. You should discard the test strip and repeat the blood glucose test.
Only a tiny blood drop will do (0.6 microlitre).
- Insert your test strip into the meter and it turns on automatically.
- Apply your blood sample to the easy to see yellow dosing area. Only 1 small drop is needed.
- In less than 4 seconds, your test results will appear in the easy to read display.
